Red Wine Chocolate Loaf Cake

This post is long overdue.
Embarrassingly late.
I intended to post this for Valentine's day, but as has been happening all too often lately, I never got around to posting it.

So here is another late post.
But since I am posting it after Valentine's day, I have a super cute picture of the pup with Valentine flowers!
Hope it sort of makes up for the super late post, just a little bit at least.

Also, maybe it's just my computer, but there is something weird going on with the colors of the pictures. It seems that in the process of uploading the pictures some of them appear duller in color. Not really sure what happened, but hopefully it's not too distracting.

Red Wine Chocolate Loaf Cake
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3/4 cup sweet red wine
2 teaspoons vanilla

1. Preheat oven to 350 F degrees. Grease 9x5 inch loaf pan.
2. In a medium bowl whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
3. In the bowl of stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment, cream together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time, scraping down the bowl after each addition. Slowly stir in wine and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients until just mixed.
4. Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
